Install from Microsoft Store
- Open SnagFrame in the Microsoft Store and confirm the publisher is A-Town JAM.
- Choose Download or View in Store, then follow the installation prompts.
- Open SnagFrame from the Start menu after installation finishes.
The Free plan does not require a Pro purchase. If you already have a Pro license, follow the license activation guide.
Use the standalone installer
If you prefer a direct download, use the official standalone installer. Open the downloaded file and follow the Windows prompts. If SnagFrame is already running, save your work and close the app before continuing.
Confirm the basics
Take a small test capture, add one annotation, then copy or save the result. This confirms the capture, editor, clipboard, and file permissions you will use most often.
Keep your captures private
SnagFrame processes captures, annotations, OCR text, and capture history locally. Only share or attach a screenshot when its contents are safe for the intended recipient.
